Lead Painter

‘Lead Painters’ are the heart and soul of Remark, so we are really picky. But if you make it through, in return you’ll earn an excellent hourly wage, have a good amount of influence over your schedule, share in job profits, and be treated with the respect you deserve. If you’ve always been among the top producers everywhere you worked, and you are able to practice and project professionalism, we’d love to talk to you.

Here are some qualifications we’re looking for (the first three are the most important).

  1. You find being super productive satisfying.
  2. You find laziness and incompetence irritating, especially when rewarded.
  3. You get a rush figuring out how to do a task easier and faster.
  4. A minimum of 4 years painting experience, more is better.
  5. Able to do basic drywall repairs, with actual finishing experience a plus.
  6. Excellent spray skills, including being able to use paper and tape effectively.
  7. Excellent cut and roll skills.

Painter’s helpers

Remark crews are made up of one Lead Painter with 1-3 helpers. We consider all our painter’s helpers, whether they have zero, or three years’ experience, ‘Lead Painters In Training’. What we’re really looking for are people with the right attitude, who enjoy working hard. If you have the right strengths, we will teach you the right skills.

Below are some qualifications we’re looking for (the first three are the most important).

  1. You find being super productive satisfying.
  2. You find laziness and incompetence irritating, especially when rewarded.
  3. You get a rush figuring out how to do a task easier and faster.
  4. Painting experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Drywall Finisher

We're looking for finishers who can use automatic tools or finish by hand and are capable of hanging smaller jobs .
Below are some qualifications we’re looking for (the first three are the most important).

  1. You find being super productive satisfying.
  2. You find laziness and incompetence irritating, especially when rewarded.
  3. You get a rush figuring out how to do a task easier and faster.
  4. Able to use automatic tools, which we provide.
  5. Able to hang smaller jobs (less than 20 sheets, we piece larger jobs)

C.O.O./Equity Partner

We are also actively looking for a COO. This is an equity position, and as you might imagine, there are numerous qualifications to meet and hoops to jump through. The first qualifier is, you must have run or managed a painting business before: you have hired, managed and paid employees. It is really not important whether the business was a success or not (in fact, past failure might help you appreciate what we're building here).
